WASHINGTON CITY — Police are asking for help to identify a man who robbed a bank Friday.
The man entered the Chase Bank at 715 West Telegraph Street and demanded money from the teller at about 10:30 a.m., according to the Washington City Police Department. The man left after being given an undisclosed amount of money, investigators said.
Witnesses told police they did not see any weapons on the man. No one was injured during the robbery.
The robber was described as being a middle-aged caucasian man who is about 5-feet-10 and heavy set. Investigators said he was unshaven and was wearing a tan shirt, khaki shorts and blue baseball cap.
Police said the man may be associated with a white Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle has Nevada license plates and a soft top that is covered with tape, investigators said.
Washington City police said they are working with the FBI and nearby law enforcement agencies to locate the man. Anyone with relevant information can contact the police department at 435-634-5730.
