Hi there everybody and welcome to KSL Golf presented by Siegfried & Jensen.

This week we're at Sleepy Ridge in Orem, where this Saturday is the Sleepy Ridge Amateur - one of two big tourneys for the weekend. The Salt Lake City Amateur is also taking place this week at Bonneville.

We have co-defending champs here for the Sleepy Ridge Am. Both Robbie Fillmore and Max Brenchley shot two under 70s to win the event a year ago.

And speaking of winning, Mike Weir, our adopted Utah golfer, came so close last weekend at the Byron Nelson Championship in Texas. Mike finished 2nd and earned over $745,000 bucks, which secures his PGA tour card for next season.

Weir hasn't had a top 3 finish since 2009. He's also had to battle back from elbow surgery a couple of years ago, but that seems to be all behind him now as he proved that he is back.

This week's show includes:

  • Keith McCord vs. Dan Guthrie: It is time to wrap up this edition of our KSL Cup Celebrity Challenge. After the first two holes, Keith McCord has the advantage on his home course. Keith has a two shot lead after two holes, but now it is time to play the final hole. Can Dan make a comeback? Let's find out as they play the final hole of our KSL Cup Celebrity Challenge, the par 5 9th at Eaglewood in North Salt Lake.
  • Putt for Cash: Time once again to try to give away some money in the Siegfried & Jensen Putt for cash. Each week, one person will have a choice of a 10 footer for 1000 dollars, 20 footer for 2000 or a 30 footer for 3000 bucks. And they will get 2 putts at it. This week's putter, Tyson Shelley of Cedar Hills.
  • Uinta Golf Tip of the Week: Our question comes from Derek Dutson of Pleasant Grove and Derek wants some help when he gets in the thick rough around the green. Thanksgiving Point Director of Golf Mark Whetzel joins us with some help.
