Paul Nelson ReportingThe Division of Wildlife Resources is trying a new trick to keep an eye on some unique birds nesting in downtown Salt Lake.
The Peregrine Falcons nesting at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building are known to be territorial. A couple of window washers found that out the hard way recently.
Bob Walters: "They did their usual screaming bloody murder and dive-bombing the window washers."
DWR's Watchable Wildlife Program Coordinator Bob Walters says you can imagine how hard it is to put a web-cam in the nest, but that's what they've done. He says it's the first time they've tried this, and there are some bugs that need to be worked out.
Bob Walters: "There are limitations to the number of people that are going to be able to log on."
Walters says they're hoping to see the baby birds take flight by early July.
