PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 28, 2014--Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, today announced that it led the scoring in a recent multiscreen encoding competitive assessment by ABI Research. Elemental and 18 other vendors were evaluated based on their overall innovation and implementation in the market.

The ABI Research report, “ Video Delivery Hardware and Platforms ”, provides a global competitive assessment and market share analysis that spans traditional encoding vendors, newer companies that have arisen around multiscreen challenges, as well as cloud-based encoding solutions.

“Elemental is a clear innovator in the video encoding market,” said Sam Rosen, practice director for ABI Research. “The company’s strong reference customers in a number of key encoding market segments, and aggressive implementations of next-generation technologies such as HEVC, cloud and virtual datacenters give the company strong performance across the board.”
