SOUTH JORDAN — A 10-year-old boy was in critical condition after he tried to cross a street on his bicycle and was hit by a vehicle.

The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. as the boy was riding his bike eastbound on 11800 South and tried to cross 4000 West without a signal to cross, according to South Jordan Sgt. Sam Winkler. He was not wearing a helmet.
