SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Supreme Court says the report of an investigation of sexual harassment in Salt Lake County government is a public record.
The court ordered the county Friday to give the report to the Deseret Morning News. The court unanimously ruled there is legitimate public interest in what the report says about a former county employee.
Salt Lake County authorities had only released a summary of an investigation of Nick Floros, who was chief deputy in the clerk's office in 2003. The investigation documented allegations against him by a co-worker.
Marcia Rice subsequently sued Floros and the county in 2004, and the sexual-harassment lawsuit was settled.
