NEW YORK (AP) — Random House says it plans to publish a young adult adaption of Laura Hillenbrand's best-selling survival saga "Unbroken."

Barbara Marcus, president and publisher of Random House Children's Books, said Thursday the adaption will be published on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, with a first printing of 200,000 copies.

"Unbroken: An Olympian's Journey From Airman to Castaway to Captive" chronicles the true story of Lou Zamperini, a World War II hero and track star who ran in the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

A film based on the book and directed by Angelina Jolie is set for release on Christmas Day.

Hillenbrand also wrote the best-selling "Seabiscuit: An American Legend."
