Watson turned a two-shot deficit into a two-shot lead with birdies on the eighth and ninth holes while Spieth bogeyed each hole. Watson closed with a 3-under 69 for an 8-under total.

UNDATED (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have reduced their magic number to one for clinching the top seed in the NBA's Eastern Conference, moving a half-game ahead of Miami with a 102-97 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche won the NHL's Central Division title and picked up the second seed in the Western Conference playoffs when St. Louis lost 3-0 to Detroit. Justin Abdelkader (AB'-dul-kay-dur) scored twice to support Petr Mrazek (muh-RAH'-zehk), who stopped 23 shots in his second career shutout. The Blues were blanked three times during a season-ending six-game losing streak that dropped them from the top of the Western Conference standings and into fourth place.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport after authorities said he became belligerent during a security screening and threatened that he had a bomb.
