LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 31, 2014--The Watermill Group, a strategy-driven private investment firm, has recruited John N. Carr to join as Principal. Mr. Carr will work on the evaluation, due diligence and execution of new investments. He will also support strategic transformation initiatives for Watermill’s portfolio companies.

John N. Carr joins private investment firm Watermill Group.

Mr. Carr has 10 years of experience spanning private equity, investment banking, consulting and operations improvement. He joins Watermill from Lionheart Ventures, where he served as a vice president responsible for business development, deal analysis, deal execution and portfolio company improvement projects. Previously, Mr. Carr worked at Goldman Sachs, Gomez Inc., JPMorgan and Stroud Consulting. At these firms, he gained insights into industrial and technology companies and developed operations and management expertise.

With the addition of Mr. Carr as Principal, the Watermill team now numbers 13 people, including six partners and two other principals, Michael Fuller and Julia Karol.
