AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Miami star Dwyane Wade missed the Heat's game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

Wade said his right hamstring was bothering him, and he's day to day. He played 32 minutes Wednesday night in a loss at Indiana.

"It didn't loosen up and I was still feeling pain in it," Wade said before his teammates faced the Pistons. "It isn't even that I don't want to push it. I can't."

Wade has played in 51 of 71 games this season, sitting out many by design because the two-time defending NBA champions want to rest his sore knees to make sure he's ready for the playoffs. Wade said his hamstring injury isn't as serious as one he had in the past.

Heat guard Mario Chalmers also was ruled out for the game against the Pistons because of an injured right quadriceps. Chalmers said he was kneed in the thigh in early in the previous game against the Pacers, but played through the pain.

"It's really day to day," he said. "We'll just see how it feels.

Miami listed Ray Allen and Greg Oden as inactive against Detroit. Allen missed his second straight game because of the flu. Coach Erik Spoelstra said he kept Oden out of the game to rest his back.

LeBron James said he has gotten used to playing without his team at full strength.

"At this point, there's somebody out every night," James said. "We've only had a handful of games all year where we've had everyone in the lineup."
