DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 28, 2014--Dallas Family law litigator Christine Powers Leatherberry is recognized among the state's top up-and-coming attorneys in the 2014 Texas Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters.

Leatherberry is an associate attorney at the family law firm of Connatser Family Law in the Uptown area of Dallas. She has experience in commercial litigation and family law. She has handled numerous cases involving complex property negotiations as well as child custody matters.

Her divorce clients include business owners, other high net-worth individuals or their spouses, and she consistently obtains favorable outcomes that protect their interests.
Leatherberry is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and SMU Dedman School of Law. In 2001, she interned in the White House for First Lady Laura Bush in the Projects Office supporting reading and early childhood cognitive development initiatives. In conjunction with that internship, she was awarded a fellowship in The University of Texas System Bill Archer Fellowship Program. She also served as President of Beta Alpha Rho Pre-Law Fraternity.
She participates in professional development activities for other lawyers and works tirelessly recruiting members and raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Leatherberry is Chair of the Junior Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dallas and has been a Big Sister for almost a decade.
Her husband is also an attorney and they live in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas.
