DRUMMER SCOTT ASHETON OF THE STOOGES DIES

UNDATED (AP) — Iggy Pop says no one ever played the drums with more meaning than Stooges drummer Scott Asheton. Pop writes on his Facebook page Asheton died Saturday at the age of 64. A cause of death was not given. Pop says Asheton was "a dear friend," ''a great artist" and "like my brother." MICK JAGGER'S GIRLFRIEND L'WREN SCOTT DIES

NEW YORK (AP) — It was hard to miss L'Wren (luh-REN') Scott. She was the 6-foot-3 girlfriend of Mick Jagger for the past 13 years. The official says no note was found and there were no signs of foul play. Jagger's spokeswoman says he's "completely shocked and devastated by the news." Scott was a fashion designer and stylist. She recently created an affordable line of clothes for Banana Republic. Celebrities who have worn her designs include Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie. CHRIS BROWN TO SPEND ANOTHER MONTH IN JAIL

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The "captain" of Team Breezy will be out of action for a while. A judge in Los Angeles has ordered Chris Brown to spend another month in jail. Brown was arrested this past Friday after being booted from the rehab facility in Malibu, he was sent to as part of his probation. He was being treated for anger management, substance abuse and issues related to bipolar disorder. His attorney says it's all a misunderstanding and is seeking an appeal. Mark Geragos (GEHR'-ih-gus) says Brown simply "had a bad day" at the rehab center.

THIRD PERSON DIES IN SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST ACCIDENT

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The death toll is now three in the crash that marred this year's South By Southwest music festival. A woman has died of injuries sustained when she was run down outside a music club last Thursday. Authorities say the driver was fleeing police when he smashed through a barricade — then sped his car into a crowd in an Austin, Texas entertainment district. Two people died at the scene and 21 others were hurt. The woman who died yesterday had been in critical condition since Thursday. Rashad Owens is charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

KANYE WEST PLEADS OUT BATTERY CASE

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The photographer who says Kanye West punched him says the rapper should be in jail. But that isn't happening. West has received two years' probation, ordered to attend anger management and do 250 hours of community service. West pleaded no contest — which lets him maintain his innocence in the case. That's key in part because the photographer, Daniel Ramos, has sued West over the incident. Ramos claims West slugged him at Los Angeles International Airport, causing injuries for which he's still being treated. Ramos also says he fears retaliation because of comments West made about paparazzi on Jimmy Kimmel's show in October.

''THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM" COMPOSER DIES

NEW YORK (AP) — The man who wrote "The Impossible Dream" has died. Broadway composer Mitch Leigh died Sunday in New York of pneumonia and complications from a stroke, according to his assistant. He was 86. Leigh was an advertising jingle writer whose first attempt at writing music for Broadway was "Man of La Mancha." ''The Impossible Dream," which is the common name for the song "The Quest," comes from that show. Jack Jones took that song to number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 and to number one on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1966. Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Temptations, Cher and Susan Boyle have done versions of that song.

FRED SCHNEIDER ON LOBSTERS

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Most of us call crabs and lobsters seafood. But Fred Schneider calls them "sea life" — and wants no part of eating them. The co-founder of the B-52s says his aversion to eating crustaceans started at age 4 — after going crabbing and seeing the day's catch being boiled alive. Schneider is a lifelong vegetarian — and has narrated a video for PETA urging people to spare shelled creatures. The effort marks the 35th anniversary of the group's hit "Rock Lobster."

KISS AND DEF LEPPARD WILL TOUR TOGETHER

NEW YORK (AP) — Paul Stanley of Kiss says putting together two bands that have stood the test of time makes for a great night of music. Kiss and Def Leppard will tour beginning June 23 outside Salt Lake City. Stanley says everyone wants more for their money and Kiss couldn't pick a better band for the tour than Def Leppard. Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott says they will probably not perform together because they're not jam bands. Proceeds from the tour will benefit military charities.

NINE INCH NAILS, SOUNDGARDEN WILL TOUR TOGETHER

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden will team up for a summer tour. They will co-headline a tour that begins July 19 in Las Vegas.

GAVIN DEGRAW, MATT NATHANSON WILL TOUR TOGETHER

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gavin DeGraw and Matt Nathanson will co-headline a tour that begins June 14 in Tucson, Arizona. Mary Lambert and Andrew McMahon will be opening acts. DeGraw will support his latest album, "Make A Move," while Nathanson's current album is "Last of the Great Pretenders."

''THE VOICE" GOES TO BATTLE ROUNDS

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Adam Levine was lying in wait, ready to steal from Team Usher on "The Voice" last night. Usher had paired Jake Barker against Stevie Jo in the battle round. Levine announced he would steal whichever one Usher didn't choose. Usher chose Stevie Jo. Shakira and Blake Shelton tried to steal as well, but Barker chose Team Adam. In other battle rounds, Shelton stole Biff Gore from Team Usher after Usher chose TJ Watkins. Shelton kept powerhouse singer Sisaundra Lewis, and he gave Jake Worthington another shot, even though he flubbed the lyrics. Team Shakira kept Dani Moz (DAN'-ee MOHZ) and stole Patrick Thomson from Team Adam when Levine chose Kat Perkins instead.

THE BAR-KAYS MARK ½ CENTURY OF MUSIC

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — They were the house band of Stax Records — and delivered some of the most soulful and funky sounds in music over the past half century. But the Bar-Kays also had hits on their own, including "Soul Finger." The group is marking its golden anniversary by donating proceeds from their shows to five charities. The group was created in 1964 — and was also the touring band for Otis Redding. Redding and four members of the Bar-Kays died in a 1967 plane crash. The band later reformed and continued performing.
