NEW YORK (AP) — As Phil Jackson prepares to take over the New York Knicks, his new team is playing its best basketball of the season. By beating the Bucks in Milwaukee 115-94, the Knicks have won six straight. Carmelo Anthony led the way with 23 points while Tim Hardaway Jr. had 20. Nate Wolters scored 15 for the Bucks, who lost their third straight.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Anthony Gill hit two free throws with 8.5 seconds left to help No. 6 Virginia hold off Pittsburgh 51-48 in semifinal play of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. The Cavaliers will face the winner of the Duke-North Carolina State game in Sunday's conference title game.

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Albany has earned a spot in the men's NCAA basketball tournament. The Great Danes wrapped up the America East championship today with a 69-60 win over Stony Brook. DJ Evans led the way for Albany with 16 points while Peter Hooley added 15.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Redskins have a new player. They have announced the signing of free agent cornerback Tracy Porter. He has 10 career interceptions in six NFL seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — The 2014 Formula 1 season gets underway tomorrow in Melbourne, Australia. It's the Australia Grand Prix and Lewis Hamilton will start the race from the pole. Four-time defending world driving champion Sebastian Vettel (VEHT'-ihl) will start from the 12th spot.
