(KSL News) Search and rescue crews spent part of the night looking for a woman believed to be missing after a rollover near S.R. 201. But it turns out that the woman was never in the car.

Officials say the driver went off the road near the ramp to I-215 West. When they arrived on scene, they had reports that a woman may have been ejected. They began searching a nearby pond before they realized the driver had been alone.

Utah Highway Patrol's Sgt. Jacob Hicks said, "We believe the driver may have been on the way to pick her up to take her to the airport. Due to his injuries and maybe some other factors, [he] didn't realize she wasn't in the car yet."

Officials say alcohol, drugs and speed are all possible factors in the crash.
