CHICAGO (AP) — Jasmine Penny made 10 of 11 shots and finished with 26 points as No. 23 DePaul beat 5th-seeded Marquette 100-90 on Monday to advance to the title game of the Big East Conference tournament.

Top-seeded DePaul will face No. 2 seed St. Johns in the championship game on Tuesday.

DePaul jumped out to a 55-38 lead at halftime, with 16 points by Chanise Jenkins.

Katie Young's 3-pointer with 2:15 left cut Marquette's deficit to 89-80, the first time DePaul's second-half lead had dipped below double-digits. DePaul made 7 of 10 free throws in the final minute.

Jenkins had 23 and Megan Rogowski 21 for DePaul (26-6).

Marquette (21-10) was led by Young with 25 points. Brooklyn Pumroy had 21 points and Katherine Plouffe had 19 and 17 rebounds.

Both teams shot 50 percent but Marquette had 17 turnovers and was 19 of 24 from the line to 26 of 40 for DePaul.
