SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Santa Clara women's basketball coach Jennifer Mountain will not return for her seventh season.

Athletic director Dan Coonan announced Monday that Mountain's contract would not be renewed.

Mountain went 10-20 this season, including 6-12 in the West Coast Conference. Mountain finished with a 56-127 record in her six seasons with the Broncos.

Coonan says it is time for a "fresh start" for the program and a search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
