INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Colts re-signed linebacker Justin Hickman and promoted Brad White to assistant linebackers coach Monday.

Hickman was an exclusive rights free agent who could not be signed by another team. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

The Colts signed Hickman out of the Canadian Football League in 2012, and he wound up with 14 tackles in 12 games that season. He missed all of last season after going on injured reserve during training camp. In three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, he had 144 tackles, 27 sacks and three fumble recoveries.

White spent the previous two seasons as the Colts' defensive quality control coach.
