NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A man booked on two aggravated rape charges in a New Orleans case also involving former NFL All-Pro safety Darren Sharper has posted a $400,000 bond.
Online jail records showed the 26-year-old Erik Nunez posted bond Monday morning.
Sharper and Nunez each face two aggravated rape charges in new Orleans.
In a separate Los Angeles case, Sharper faces seven rape and drug counts in connection with two alleged attacks. He pleaded not guilty in that case and had been freed on $1 million bail. However, he was jailed again in Los Angeles when New Orleans police issued a warrant for his arrest.
A Los Angeles judge set a hearing for Thursday to give Louisiana prosecutors time to formally charge Sharper or for the state to seek his return.
