TROY, Mich. (AP) — A suburban Detroit hospital plans to show off an inflatable colon display for National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
The giant colon will be at Beaumont Hospital in Troy from Tuesday through Friday.
According to Beaumont Dr. Harry Wasvary, the colon is 32 feet long and 20 feet wide. Visitors can walk through it.
Wasvary says he hopes the display encourages those 50 and older to get screened regularly for colorectal cancer.
