OSLO, Norway (AP) — Severin Freund of Germany took his fourth World Cup title of the season as he won the large hill ski jumping event Sunday in Oslo.
Freund jumped 132 and 130.5 meters for a score of 265.4 points at the Holmenkollen hill.
Anders Bardal of Norway was second with 252.1 points while overall World Cup leader Kamil Stoch finished third with 245.4.
Freund led after the first jump and kept his cool in the second jump to deny Bardal back-to-back victories in his homeland. The Norwegian won the previous event in Trondheim.
Japan's Noriaki Kasai narrowly missed what would have been his 51st World Cup podium finish, placing fourth with 244.1 points.
