KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Stephen Madison pumped in 26 points and Connor Hill added 24 more, including six 3-pointers, to propel Idaho to an 87-80 comeback win over Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday night.

Trailing most of the second half, Idaho (14-17, 7-9 Western Athletic Conference) took control with a 17-0 run capped by a Sekou Wiggs layup that made it 80-67 with 2:03 to play, and then held on down the stretch.

Wiggs finished with 16 points for the Vandals, who shot 51 percent from the field, including 11 of 23 from long range, to avenge their Jan. 4 loss to UMKC (10-19, 7-9) and close out the regular season with back-to-back wins.

UMKC was led by Nelson Kirksey, who had 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting. Martez Harrison had 18 points and Frank Williams 16 for the Kangaroos, who snapped a three-game win streak with the loss.
