COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Columbus Blue Jackets rookie defenseman Ryan Murray will miss four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee.

The 20-year-old Murray, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 NHL draft, has three goals and 17 assists and a +3 plus/minus rating in 61 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He ranks third among all league rookies in blocked shots (93), second in time on ice (1,207:37) and is tied for fifth in power-play points (6).

Murray is a 6-foot-1, 208-pounder who won a bronze medal with Team Canada at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships and became the second-youngest player in Canadian history to compete at the IIHF World Championships that same year.
