PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Troy Snyder and Hakeem Baxter each scored 30 points in leading Maryland-Eastern Shore to an 84-70 victory over Delaware State on Thursday night in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference regular-season finale.

Baxter's total was a career high for the freshman while Snyder, a senior who had a career high of 34 on Feb. 15 against Howard, went over 20 points for the eighth consecutive game for the Hawks (6-23, 4-12). Pina Guillaume added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Hawks will be the No. 13 seed for the conference tournament that begins on Monday in Norfolk, Va. Delaware State (9-20, 5-11) finished in a four-way tie for eighth place.

Both teams shot over 50 percent but the Hawks scored 11 points on free throws.

Tyshawn Bell scored 18 points, Casey Walker 14 and DeAndre Haywood and Kendall Gray 13 apiece. Gray also had 11 rebounds for his 11th double-double this season.
