NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Ambrose Mosley was 5 of 10 from 3-point range with 17 points as Old Dominion outshot East Carolina for a 68-47 victory on Thursday night.

Richard Ross added 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Old Dominion (15-16, 9-7 Conference USA), which finished the first half on a 7-1 run and extended it to 21-4 early in the second for a 42-24 lead with 14:50 to play.

East Carolina (16-15, 5-11) answered with four straight points to close the deficit to 14 and that was as close as it would get.

Aaron Bacote had 13 points and Dimitri Batten scored 12 for the Monarchs who shot 29 of 49 (59.2 percent) while holding the Pirates to just 14 of 47 (29.8 percent).

Caleb White had 12 points and Paris Roberts-Campbell added 10 for ECU. White was 5 of 15 from the field and Roberts-Campbell was 2 of 10.
