Ever heard of a guacamole bar? It's just one of the great things about Taqueria27.
Owner Todd Gardiner joined us on KSL News at Noon for a demo on how to make some of their great guacamole recipes.
Mango Studded Guacamole
3-4 Ripe Avocados,seeds removed and peeled
1 Small Mango ¼" dice
1 Medium Serrano Pepper
2 T Red Onion ¼ inch dice
Jicama peeled and ¼" dice
2 T Cilantro minced
1 green onion thinly sliced crossways
1 t Fresh orange juice
Kosher Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Place all ingredients except salt and pepper in a medium sized mixing bowl and smash together. Stir in salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
Grilled Pineapple and Lime Guacamole
3-4 Ripe Avocados, seeds removed and peeled
1/4C grilled pineapple ¼" dice
1 Medium Serrano Pepper, minced
2 T Red Onion ¼ inch dice
2 T Cilantro minced
1/4C Red bell Pepper, ¼" dice
1 t Fresh Lime juice
1/2t smoky chile powder
Kosher Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Place all ingredients except salt and pepper in a medium sized mixing bowl and smash together with potato masher. Stir in salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately with fresh chips .
