(KSL News) A group of Utah students is helping a boy in New York beat cancer by finding his way into the record books.
Hunter Winship is battling a rare form of lymphoma. To keep his mind off his cancer treatments, his family suggested he try to get a world record for collecting the most paper airplanes.
Donations have poured in, including some 8,000 planes from students at Granger High School. The Deseret Morning News reports the family has counted more than 278,000 airplanes, and there are still dozens of boxes to go through.
The Winships say they are overwhelmed by the support.
