Teacher Wins National Dream Big America Competition
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dream Big America
(www.DreamBigAmerica.us), the first-ever live nationally-syndicated
radio show pitting vetted business startups against each other,
announces Dallas-based ScribeSense as this month's Dream Big Champion.
ScribeSense (www.ScribeSense.com), presented by VP of Sales John Ruff,
is a time-saving online grading system that works with open-ended,
handwritten answers on plain paper. After winning a preliminary round
of the February bracket-style competition, ScribeSense competed
against other finalists, Offspring and Peep No More, in the Finals
Round on February 25th.
"Every month I'm awed by the talent and ingenuity of the entrepreneurs
on the show," said the Dream Big America host Doug Stephan. "We had
three fantastic finalists, and we're very excited for the ScribeSense
team."
After securing the highest voting support from the show's listening
audience and startup supporters around the country, ScribeSense was
announced today as the February Dream Big Champion and the recipient
of a prize package of resources from Dream Big America sponsors.
Another of February's finalists, Offspring (www.OffspringApp.com), is
an iPhone app designed for parents to capture, share, and publish
their children's special moments. Offspring is based out of Des
Moines, Iowa and was presented by co-founder Zachary Kreger.
The third February finalist, Peep No More (www.PeepNoMore.com), was
presented by founder Joey Mares. The company has created the first and
only hands-free and automatic occupancy sign for public restroom
stalls. Peep No More is based out of Reno, Nevada.
The Dream Big America Show features three entrepreneurs pitching their
business ideas for two minutes each, followed by an expert panelist
who offers feedback and suggestions. Tapping into the surging
entrepreneurial movement spreading across the country, Dream Big
America strives to educate and support startups, all while providing
an exciting venue for America to choose which new businesses it wants
to see hit the market.
Dream Big America airs each Tuesday at 9:10am to 9:40am EDT on Doug
Stephan's Good Day Program (www.DougStephan.com), syndicated to over
500 markets across the United States with a weekly listening audience
of 3.5 million. In addition to being broadcast on the radio, the Dream
Big America Show can be heard via live podcast on the
