PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tyreek Duren scored six of his 18 points in the closing minutes to help La Salle pull away and defeat St. Bonaventure 75-67 on Wednesday night.
Dion Wright hit a jumper to give St. Bonaventure a 67-66 lead with 2:23 remaining. Duren answered with two free throws at the 2:07 mark, sparking a 9-0 run to seal it for La Salle. La Salle was 9 for 10 from the line, including six from Duren, during the span.
Duren finished 4 of 8 from the field and a perfect 8 for 8 from the line, and has scored in double figures in 17 straight games. Jerrell Wright scored 18 points and Tyrone Garland and Sam Mills each added 12 points for La Salle (13-14, 5-8 Atlantic 10). Garland also dished out six assists for the Explorers.
Matthew Wright scored 18 points and Youssou Ndoye added 16 for St. Bonaventure (16-12, 6-8).
