(KSL News) -- A one-year-old baby is recovering in the hospital today after a jar of hot oil spilled on top of him.
It happened yesterday morning at his home in Roy. Fire officials say the boy was sitting near a jar of heated, scented oil on top of a table. They say that's when the child pulled on the cord attached to the jar and the oil spilled over his head, shoulders and back.
The baby was airlifted to Primary Children's Medical Center. Doctors say the baby suffered second-degree burns on 30 percent of his body. However, they say he won't need skin grafts, and is expected to make a full recovery.
