(KSL News) -- Plenty of drivers out on the road this holiday weekend and there has already been one serious accident.
It happened on I-15 South near Kaysville. The Utah Highway Patrol says the Ford Ranger pickup went quite a ways off the freeway into a grassy area. It hit a construction fence and some PVC pipe before rolling several times.
The driver was ejected and flown to the hospital in serious condition. It does not appear he was wearing a seatbelt.
Police are still investigating, but they believe the driver might have had a medical condition that caused the accident.
