(KSL News) -- Tooele Police are looking for three police impersonators.

Two well-dressed men and a woman went to a home, flashed a badge and said they were officers from Idaho and wanted to search the place.

They forced their way inside and looked around. One received a cell phone call and they all left.

Lt. Craig Wexels, Tooele Police Dept.: "The really unusual thing is there's no reason for this to have happened to this victim. Nothing that implies or tells us that they are involved in any type of criminal activity at all. They're very good, outstanding people."

The suspects left in a gray Chevrolet Lumina with maroon pinstripes, Idaho plates and flower decals in the back window.

Call Tooele police if you have any information.
