OREM (AP) — Ben Aird scored 16 points to lead four Utah Valley players in double figures as the Wolverines dominated Saint Katherine 89-37 Saturday night.

The Wolverines (3-5) scored the first eight points of the game and led 45-13 at halftime. Saint Katherine (1-6), an NAIA school, didn't reach double figures until there was 3:28 left in the first half.

Hayes Garrity scored 14 points, Zach Nelson 13 and Holton Hunsaker 11 for the Wolverines, who shot 51.8 percent, including 11 of 23 from 3-point range for 47.8 percent. Mitch Bruneel grabbed 10 rebounds with the Wolverines having control of the boards by a 49-34 margin.

The Firebirds shot just 22.2 percent and hit only four of their 23 3-point attempts. They were led by Jonathan Wood with 11 points.

The 52-point winning margin is the third largest in Utah Valley's 11 seasons of NCAA play.
