Lori Prichard reportingDavis County authorities have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child. Syracuse police warn there could be other victims involved.

Ramon Gonzales will face charges of aggravated kidnapping, sex abuse of a child and sodomy of a child. The charges have yet to be filed because the case is so new.

The Davis County Attorney's Office says the alleged victim only came forward yesterday. Syracuse police arrested Gonzales at 3 p.m. yesterday.

Other than that, officers and the county attorney's office are saying little else. Lt. Tracy Jensen, of the Syracuse Police Department, said, "The county attorney's asked us not to do too much commenting because it is still under investigation, and formal charges have not been filed. We are concerned if there are more people out there that know, or have had any contact with this individual. There may be other victims out there. We would like them to come forward and express that."

Syracuse police say the alleged offender knew the victim.

Gonzales was a longtime resident of Syracuse but had recently moved to West Point.

Gonzales is in the Davis County Jail.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 825-4400.
