PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities in Phoenix say tests indicate a passenger whose presence on a flight from Texas caused a tuberculosis scare doesn't have the infectious disease.

Maricopa County Department of Public Health spokeswoman Jeanine Fowler says the man was notified Monday night that he doesn't have TB and an order keeping him grounded has been lifted. It's believed he's already left Phoenix on another flight.

The federal government issued a do-not-board order for the man but he was already on a US Airways Express flight from Austin on Saturday when the airline received word. The Arizona Republic reports federal health officials say Texas authorities were first alerted to the issue by a physician associated with the passenger.

Other passengers were briefly kept on the plane after it landed until after responders removed the man.
