WEST JORDAN — West Hills Middle School was evacuated Monday afternoon after a worker allegedly found a note about a bomb.
The worker found the note on the cafeteria floor, according to West Jordan police. The note said something about a bomb being in the school, police said.
The school was evacuated, and all the students were sent home for the day.
The West Jordan Fire and Police departments searched the school but found nothing.
Just after 4 p.m., a post was added to the middle school's Facebook page saying the evacuation was a precaution, all students were safe and accounted for, and that "only a note was found ... nothing more."
