(KSL News) -- Investigators say welding equipment sparked a blaze at Beehive Elementary School in Kearns.
Flames shot up yesterday as construction workers used the tools on the school's roof. The workers thought they put out all the flames.
Apparently some started up again and burned through the roof, torching walls.
Firefighters quickly put out the blaze with some help from the sprinkling system.
Luckily no children were inside at the time.
The school is back open for class this morning.
