SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Police say a 27-year-old man was found dead on an Amtrak train as it arrived in Salt Lake City.

Passengers say the South Dakota man was breathing heavily in his sleep but was unresponsive when the train stopped about 4:20 a.m. Friday.

Detective Jeff Bedard, spokesman for the Salt Lake Police Department, says the man boarded the California-to-Chicago train in Reno, Nev.

No foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be performed. The man's name and hometown were not immediately released.

An Amtrak spokeswoman says the train was delayed for almost two hours in Salt Lake City because of the death. The man was in a passenger car, not a sleeper.
