NORTH OGDEN — Police have released the name of a woman found dead by kids in a park on Halloween.

North Ogden police said Thursday night they knew who the woman was and were notifying her family. They identified her Thursday as Jamie Rothey-Fowers, 37.

Foul play is not suspected in Rothey-Fowers' death, but police are awaiting a report from the medical examiner's office before declaring cause of death. The case remains under investigation, police said Friday.

Rothey-Fowers' body was discovered by kids who were walking their dog through Barker Park, 2492 N. Barker Parkway, about 4 p.m. Thursday. She was found lying in a dry stream bed in a wooded area behind the park's amphitheater.

The kids then went to a home to call police.

North Ogden police detective Paul Rhoades said officers believe the woman's body was in the park for less than 24 hours.
