SALT LAKE CITY — A Unified Police officer was taken to the hospital after colliding with another vehicle while pursuing a call Friday.
The police car had its lights and sirens on when it hit a truck in the intersection of 3900 South State Street. The truck had the green light, which is why the officer had her sirens and lights on, said South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Matt Budd.
The officer was taken to the hospital in fair condition, and the front of the car was extensively damaged. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
