(KSL News) -- Police are looking for a 45-year-old Salt Lake man charged with stealing from his sick father.
The man was given temporary power of attorney over his father for 18 months, while the father was in the hospital.
According to court documents, the man allowed the bank to repossess his father's car and he withdrew more than nine-thousand dollars from his dad's bank accounts.
The man claims he was keeping the money in a "safe place" so his father couldn't give it to his brother.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
