(KSL News) A needed diversion for parents, and a wish come true for a four-year-old boy today.
Hayden Udy got a ride on Thomas the Train. His mother,Kristen, said "It takes away the pain we're feeling as parents, and what we're feeling as a family."
Hayden and his family rode the Heber Valley Railroad, pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine.
Hayden has a rare disease attacking his skeletal system and he's undergone chemotherapy for six months now. So the Make-A-Wish Foundation made his day by treating him to the ride, and a shopping spree at the gift shop.
Hayden will have to undergo more treatment. Doctors recently discovered he has more tumors.
