(KSL News) -- A Salt Lake man helped his neighbors escape from their burning home.
The home is converted into apartments and flames started inside the attic of a vacant unit. The man saw heavy smoke billowing from the roof and woke up his neighbors who were asleep inside the adjacent unit.
Fire crews put out the fire within ten minutes. They say it caused about 55-thousand dollars damage.
One man said he saw two teenagers with backpacks near the vacant unit minutes before fire broke out. Fire officals are investigating.
