This is that time of year when we at KSL use our editorial voice to unabashedly encourage you, our viewers and listeners, to contribute to a worthy cause.
The annual KSL Radiothon at Primary Children's Medical Center is underway. For two days, KSL Newsradio 1160 and 102.7 FM is devoting its programming to soliciting donations for one of the premier children's hospitals in the world.
This is the 32nd year we've been doing this and what a privilege it is!
Primary Children's, of course, is the main pediatric center for a five-state area. Children from all walks of life and with every malady imaginable come to the facility each year for treatment.
Unfortunately these days, many families lack insurance and the personal resources to afford such quality care. Yet, the hospital is committed to treating all children regardless of the ability to pay.
That's where the KSL Radiothon comes in.
Every penny raised via the Radiothon goes toward charity care. None of it is used to cover administrative costs.
So, once again this year we urge you to make a generous donation. Tune into KSL Newsradio. Let the poignancy of the stories you hear touch your hearts. Call in with a pledge and experience the satisfaction of knowing you're helping a child.
