(KSL News) -- A car struck and injured a child at an apartment complex in Kearns this afternoon.
The nine-year old girl was playing with other children. She apparently tried to cross a busy street and was hit by a car.
The impact sent the girl flying and she suffered serious injuries.
Lifeflight flew her to Primary Children's Medical Center.
The sheriff's department says the driver will not be cited.
