MEMORY LANE — So now that Monday Night Football has come and gone and Saturday is still a long ways off what are you going to do until then?
Well, I've got you covered.
Netflix is a lot like a thrift store. There is a pile of junk, but if you look long enough you'll find some real gems. I'm here, however, to save you time, I already found them.
While there are some new films on Netflix that are pretty good I thought I'd make you aware of five great films on there that are totally worth watching again.

The 1986 classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is streaming on Netflix and it is calling your name. It knows you can recite the film front to back, but it doesn't care, it misses you.
Regardless of how old Matthew Broderick gets or how nerdy he's portrayed he will always be the absolute coolest kid ever in our minds. I mean, what other self-respecting man can pull off a leopard vest like that?
No one. That's who.
So, quit being a Cam and get out of bed and watch "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

Is the movie "Hot Rod" strange? Without a doubt, but that's what makes it so fantastic. This is a movie you stream with friends so you can all watch with a confused look on your face and before you know it you are all in tears from laughter.
If you hated the movie, give it another shot and if you still don't like it, well, that's not really my problem.
So let your weird evening begin by streaming "Hot Rod."

Joss Whedon is now a household name thanks to "The Avengers," but long before he tricked everyone into thinking that movie was as good as everyone says, he made a really entertaining flick called "Serenity."
Many know this movie all too well, but it may be new to some of you. Either way, it's worth a watch.
The sci-fi western is the movie version of Whedon's short-lived TV series "Firefly."
"Serenity" doesn't require knowledge of "Firefly," but if you're interested the series is also on Netflix.
Nathan Fillion plays a great Han Solo-esque anti-hero and you will fall in love with Alan Tudyk. For those who have seen the movie you know what I'm talking about, for those who haven't, I apologize in advance.

Who wants to feel the warm fuzzies? Raise those hands. Well, here you go, re-watch "October Sky." If you haven't seen it, what are you doing? How have you not seen this movie?
Go! Go now!
"October Sky" is pretty much the ultimate in getting you inspired to do anything. I mean if Homer Hickam can build a rocket there's no reason I can't own a Taco Bell.
Owning a Taco Bell would be awesome.
I digress.
"October Sky" truly is a wonderful film and it undoubtedly has one of the greatest messages of any film you're likely to ever watch.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
When it comes to this movie all I really need to do is just mention the name and it basically sells itself.

"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
That's right, it's on Netflix and you're wasting time by not streaming it and reading this. Wait, what's that? You're at work? Well, that means it's time to prioritize. Go tell your boss you're sick, head home, make a sandwich and start watching Butch and Sundance.
Well, I guess I can't condone or perpetuate dishonesty, so, go eat some rotten food, make yourself sick, tell your boss, skip the sandwich and watch Butch and Sundance on your laptop in the bathroom at home.
There you have it, five movies streaming on Netflix worth watching again to waste some time until the weekend comes.
