LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Several communities and organizations pulled together to save a historic Cache County farm.
Today, the Trust for Public Land (TPL) announced the permanent preservation of Zollinger Fruit and Tree Farm as agricultural open space.
TPL, along with the help of landowners, local residents and Providence City, raised more than one-point-four (M)million dollars in public and private funds.
The money will used to purchase some of the farm's development rights.
The Zollinger Farm is a 48-acre orchard of apples and nursery stock, which is located between Logan and River Heights near Providence.
The farm has been in the Zollinger family for more than 100 years.
