(KSL News) -- A woman in Ogden faces attempted murder charges.

Police believe Chelsi Chavez tried to kill her boyfriend. She's accused of shooting him near Pineview Reservoir over the weekend.

The boyfriend was shot in the chest. He survived and is in serious but stable condition.

When police got to the scene, they say Chavez was there and said, "Arrest me. Arrest me."

Investigators are still trying to identify a motive.
