PROVO — The body of a woman found inside a burning house Wednesday has been identified as 70-year-old Louise Dennis Massey.

Neighbors reported a fire at Massey's house, 1362 S. 1100 West, just after 4:30 p.m. Massey had health issues that hindered her mobility. She was found in an upstairs room where the fire was believed to have started.

While Provo fire officials weren't willing to declare exactly how the fire started, Fire Capt. Dean York said, "the cause had something to do with the misuse of smoking materials." Massey was a smoker and the fire was not intentional.

Massey was sitting in the living room close to where the fire started, he said.

Her son and two grandsons lived in the basement but were not home at the time of the fire. About 20 firefighters helped put out the blaze.
