Paul Nelson ReportingA taxi driver is in legal trouble after being accused of peeping in a Salt Lake City Visitor's Center bathroom.
It was supposed to be a quick trip to the bathroom, but it turned into a scary situation for a 17-year-old girl.
Robin Snyder: "The Mom went in to check on her a few minutes later. That's when she found our arrested person, Mohammed Sallah, on all fours, looking under the stall at her daughter that was using the restroom."
Salt Lake detective Robin Snyder says the girl's mother confronted the man, who then ran away. Snyder says Sallah then tried change his look, so he wouldn't be recognized.
Robin Snyder: "He ran over to the Marriott Hotel and purchased a white shirt and put that on, and then came back to the visitors center."
But, Snyder says that plan failed. She says Sallah then returned to the visitor's center to claim the cab he was driving. Despite the new shirt, Snyder says the girl's mother was able to spot the suspect.
After interviewing the suspect, officers felt they had enough to formally charge him with voyeurism.
