PINTURA, Utah (AP) -- Firefighters are still battling a wildfire in Washington County this morning.
The 613-acre is now burning near I-15 just north of Pintura, near the Black Ridge. Fire officials say the Snowfield Fire is now 50 percent contained.
However, steep and rocky terrain are making it difficult for crews.
Firefighters say the blaze started as a controlled burn on Friday but later got out of control.
The northbound lanes of I-15 were closed for several hours on Saturday. So far, the fire has NOT threatened any homes.
